Assalamualaikum,
maybe it's just too late to write down this post, but it's doesn't matter. I still want to post this entry...
HOW TO SPEND YOUR TIME WISELY DURING SCHOOL HOLIDAYS...

If your school holiday only lasts a day, you probably
shouldn't book a flight to India. However, even a short day-trip will
help to rejuvenate your mind. Talk to your friends to see who wants to
join you. If you are under driving age, persuade your parents or older
siblings to take you or ask your parents' permission to take a train. To
find some cool destinations within a couple hours of your home, search
online for some options. Popular mini-trips include jaunts to the beach,
mountains or a nearby city.
Even if you don't want to go on an elaborate trip, short travel will
spice up your normal routine. Rather than spend your school holiday at
the local movie theater or bowling alley, go to a more distant theater.
Your time off will give you some extra hours to spare. Plus the change
of scenery may make activities more fun. Perhaps the mini-golf course a
few towns away is much better than the one closest to your house.

When people have free time, the natural urge is to do the
things you enjoy the most. By all means, have fun and do what you love.
However, you may find surprise enjoyment in the games you haven't played
in awhile. Many kids have the tendency to want the newest and hottest
games around. Often these are great fun. Yet in the process, we often
forget some of our old favorites. Use your school holiday as an excuse
to wipe the dust off your old videogames, movies, books or music.
Another fun way to rediscover old games and toys is to get together
with several friends at someone's house and require each person to bring
a game/toy they haven't played in ages. Gather around and play with all
the games. You may realize that you don't actually want that expensive
new toy after all. Or perhaps one of your friends will have it and can
bring it.

Many kids are more likely to procrastinate than to get a
head start on work. Nonetheless, it's never too late to change your work
habits. If you know you have assignments due within weeks of school
resuming and you don't have anything else planned during your school
holiday, spend at least some of your time working ahead. The more you
accomplish during your holiday, the more free time you will have once
school resumes. Rather than put yourself through the stress of
last-minute preparation, use the added time to at least outline pending
projects. You may still spend most of your holiday watching movies and
playing with friends. Even an hour a day will ensure that you relax more
than most of your friends once the deadlines approach.
If you have group projects, get together with your group over the
school holiday. Spend an hour playing whatever games you want and then
an hour working. Alternate this work/play process throughout the day and
you are likely to take a huge leap on your project. Then, once school
resumes and all the other groups scramble to finish their projects, your
group can take a night off to go to the movies.
